OnFile
We provided software architecture, design and development for the OnFile Prior Authorization Solution
We partnered with the venture backed OnFile team to create a web based solution to facilitate the complex relationship between patient, providers, managed care networks, Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance.
The process, which took from 24-72 hours before the system, was reduced to minutes and with significant improvement in accuracy and completeness.
Although we contract to Coding Inertia for our software development and platform design, I consider them as one of our executive team members. Their ability to collaborate with us on a strategic level and their ability to implement our software goals and dreams is crazy good.

Enterprise Workflow
Heavy Equipment Dealer
We created a web based safety observation and issue tracking system for a large multi-state heavy equipment company to support the company's safety goals and increased employee participation in safety programs.
The issue tracking system provided a centralized location for safety issues and ensured that the required corrective actions were implemented in a timely manner.
We were initially contacted to push an 'almost completed' windows application over the finish line. After performing an architecural review of the code and the business goals we were able to suggest, design and build a better web based system while still meeting the original deadline.

Electronic Health Record
CareSuite
CareSuite is a quality EHR and eMAR software designed by senior living professionals
Starting with a proof of concept MVP project we worked with the CareSuite product team to create a SaaS based EHR platform to extend and compliment their comprehensive QuickMAR eMAR platform.
Eventually the EHR would grow to include assessments, care planning, billing, incident management, ADLs, CRM, and corporate dashboard modules. Along with a companion mobile application.
CareSuite was acquired by Point Click Care in March of 2019

Online Invoice Payments
While working on a large project we learned that our client was unhappy with their current process for receiving invoice payments by credit card. It was expensive, cumbersome and didn't capture all the information they needed. Resulting in an unwelcome amount of fees and a lot of manual work reconciling payments with customer accounts on the backend.
From previous projects we knew that we could easily improve this situation using Stripe and a simple 2-3 form website. We pitched the project that day and had a working payment portal within about a week. The client was able to start capturing payments within another month. Because of their volume the client was also able to save .5% - 1% on their credit card fees and reduce the workload on their office staff at the same time.

Personal Health Record
OnFile / VNSNY
We worked with OnFile and Visiting Nurse Service of New York to implment a PHR and Case Management system for high risk patients
The Continuity of Care Document in the system made it possible for all segments of the health care team to have the information they needed when they needed it. It extended the usability of health information beyond the four walls of the medical practice and engaged the patient's nework of medical professionals.

Travel Industry
Supported a travel software company's existing desktop product for enabling travel agents to easily book airfare and other travel services across multiple vendors without being required to renter traveler information.

Human Resources MVP
Human Resources Pro
The client was an in-person HR consulting firm whose core service offering involved an Excel based employee review process. They wanted to turn the Excel based forms into a SaaS application that could support their consulting services and also be sold as a standalone product.
Initially the client attempted to have the product build using a popular outsourcing web site but received an incomplete application with serious security issues. The initial application was scrapped and we worked on redesigning the exising process so that it could be turned into a SaaS application
After helping the client to better understand their own process and a couple of iterations we created a working MVP capable of taking their customers through their employee review process.

We have created solutions for over 20 years. As part of our desire to be even better for our clients Coding Inertia has starting working on tools and frameworks we can leverage across our clients to develop better solutions more effeciently.
Our first project so peek into the light of day is Inertia CMS, a lightweight content management system based on Markdown and git. It's still early and evolving but we're pretty exicted about it, in fact this website is built using it
